The monthly First Friday Coffee presented by the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce will feature a presentation by Chuck Martin and the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau on tourist attractions that are making a difference bringing visitors to the city.
The breakfast networking meeting will be held at 7 a.m. Friday at the Show Me Center on North Sprigg Street.
Cape Girardeau has seen an "amazing number of things that have been added to our community over the last five years," Martin said Wednesday. The list of attractions includes the Red House Interpretive Center, the Red Star river access, the old Mississippi River bridge overlook and the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus, he said.
"None of this stuff was here five years ago," Martin said. "All of this stuff is a great addition to our portfolio."
Martin will also discuss how those attractions are enhancing business throughout the region.
