Due to the special session of the Missouri Legislature called by Gov. Bob Holden, this month's First Friday Coffee program has been changed.
Senate President Pro Tem Peter Kinder and state Rep. Jason Crowell cannot present the original program as scheduled.
Now, Lloyd Smith, chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson will speak at the meeting to talk about homeland security and other federal issues.
First Friday Coffee, an event sponsored by the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for this morning at 7:30 a.m. at the Show Me Center. The chamber hopes to have Kinder and Crowell back for the July meeting.
