The monthly First Friday coffee will feature a retrospective on the Show Me Center in honor of its 20th anniversary. Shannon Buford, marketing director at the center, will present a slide show featuring highlights of the center, which has been the home of Southeast Missouri State University basketball since it opened in August 1987. The center has been the scene of numerous memorable moments, including a sold-out show by Tina Turner in 1987, a speech by then-President Ronald Reagan in 1988 and benefit concerts by Kennett, Mo., native Sheryl Crow in 2000 and Rick Springfield in 2006. First Friday Coffee is a monthly networking meeting sponsored by the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce. Doors open at 7 a.m. Friday at the Show Me Center.
