The first-ever Cape Shrine Club Rodeo begins tonight at Arena Park in Cape Girardeau.

The rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association and will include bull riding, saddle bronc-riding, bareback riding, team roping, calf roping, steer wrestling and barrel racing.

Shows begin at 7:30 tonight and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. A parade commemorating the rodeo is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. beginning at Capaha Park.

Advance tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12 and are available at Schnucks, JCPenney, both Food Giant stores, Del Farm and Bob's Shoe Service in Cape Girardeau, Sander Hardware and Town & Country Foods in Jackson, Baker's Bestway in Scott City and Ferrell's Western World in Sikeston. Box seats are $10 and are available in advance only.

Door tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children.
