Fire destroys home near Crump

A fire in rural Cape Girardeau County destroyed a doublewide mobile home Wednesday afternoon.

Fire departments from Whitewater, Millersville and Gordonville responded to a call about the fire at a home near Crump on Highway U around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. According to sources at the scene, the home was completely burned down within 15 minutes of firefighters arrival on the scene.

No one was injured, and a cause is yet to be determined.
