FIRE CHIEF TO BE GUEST CONDUCTOR AT CONCERT

Cape Girardeau Fire Chief Robert Ridgeway will be celebrity guest conductor at the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band's weekly summer concert tonight.

Members of the trumpet section will offer a feature, "Trumpets Ole," during the concert, which is scheduled for 8 at the band shell in Capaha Park.

Other spotlights include a medley of songs made famous by the Beatles including "Hard Days Night," "Yesterday" and "Maxwell's Silver Hammer."

Songs from the musical, "Jesus Christ Superstar," and a variety of marches and other light concert selections will complete the program. Ron Nall will conduct the concert.
