North Bollinger County Fire Rescue chief Shane Welker said late Saturday evening a fire that burned about 75 acres at County Road 908 had been contained, but still had "a few hot spots."

The fire was reported about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and the cause is unknown at this point, Welker said. He said firefighters will return this morning to check on it.

Welker said the blaze burned field and woods. There were no structures nearby; no one had to be evacuated, and no one was injured, he said.

Along with north Bollinger County, firefighters from Marble Hill and Millersville fought the fire, Welker said.
