Govero and his wife, Debra, are members of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
"The foundation is very fortunate to have a chair with Kevin's credentials and experience," said foundation executive director William H. Kiel. "His mission for the community is supportive of the mission of St. Francis Medical Center."

The foundation also has named Marvin Adams of Jackson, Mo., to the board.
Adams has been a State Farm Insurance representative for the past 17 years. Prior to entering the insurance field, Adams was a coach for 11 years, three at Kansas State University and eight at Arkansas State University.
