First, second, third and fourth place winners each night will receive cash prizes of $20, $15, $10 and $5.

The winners each will compete on Saturday evening, Aug. 17, for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. All three will receive plaques and cash prizes. The overall winner will be invited to the youth talent contest at the Mid-South Fair in Memphis, Tenn., Sept. 20-29.

The Mid-South Fair will have a representative in Jackson on Saturday night to talk to the final contestants. It is possible that more than just the first place winners will be invited to the Mid-South Fair.

Marvin Meier, chairman of the Talent show contest, says this is the 31st year that a representative from the Mid-South Fair has been in Jackson to scout talent.

Amateur acts of all kinds are invited. For information write or call Mr. Marvin Meier, Chairman, 1336 Highway 72 W. Jackson, MO. 63755 or 243-2100. E.P. Kurre (243-4140) and Jim Nelson (243-4462) can also be contacted.
