Nearly 102,000 people attended the SEMO Regional Fair last week, the most that have attended since the fair kept accurate figures, said Pete Poe, chairman of the fair board.
The fair counted 101,953 people attending, including 16,344 children admitted free and 18,000 at the concerts, Poe said. That's up from just over 100,000 last year, he said.
The fair's biggest draw was the Statler Brothers concert, he said.
The good weather helped boost attendance, he said, as did new features like the Sunday afternoon gospel sing, the free circus and the Anheuser-Busch Motor Sports Pavilion.
