"Fiddler on the Roof," last performed by Notre Dame High School 20 years ago, will be presented again April 15-18.

The venerable musical, which produced such songs as "Sunrise, Sunset" and "If I Were a Rich Man," focuses on the push and pull between tradition and change among Jewish townspeople living under Tsarist rule at the turn of the century.

Adam Cox will play the dairyman Tevye, and Emily Fisher has the role of his wife Golde. Lori Maurer, Kelli Hobbs and Lisa Hoffman will play their marriageable daughters Tzeitel, Hodel and Chava, respectively.

Cindy King will direct, with senior Kim Scherer serving as assistant director.

More than 60 percent of the Notre Dame student body 167 students will be involved in the production as cast or crew members.

An alumni reception will be held April 17 for members of the 1973 cast. That night's performance will be dedicated to them.

Tickets are $5 each and will go on sale April 6. Tickets also may be purchased at the door.
