Voters in Perryville and Longtown will decide municipal races when they head to the polls for the April 7 general election.

Voters in the rest of Perry County will cast their ballots in uncontested bids for office.

In Perryville, two people -- incumbent Roger Prost and William D. Richardet -- are running for the Ward 1 seat on the Board of Aldermen.

And in Longtown, three people -- Wilbert Hacker, Roy Lohman and Darrell Tanz -- are running for two seats on the Village Board of Trustees.

The other available seats on school and municipal boards are uncontested.

In Perryville, all the incumbents are seeking re-election: Mayor Robert J. Miget, Collector Wilma Weinkein, City Marshal Eugene H. Besand, Municipal Judge Robert Hershey and aldermen Frank "Bill" Bergman and Paul R. "Butch" Flentge, Wards 2 and 3, respectively.

For the Perry County School District 32 Board of Education, incumbent Caroline Pontillas and newcomer Jeff Volkerding are running for two three-year terms.

And Tom Wesolek, who was appointed last year to fill an unexpired term on the school board, is running to complete that term.

In Altenburg School District 48, incumbents Albert Boettcher Jr., Roger Schlicting and Caroline Littge are all seeking three-year terms.

In the city of Altenburg, incumbents Gregory Hecht, Ward 1, and Robert Birk, Ward 2, are seeking new terms on the Board of Aldermen.

Frohna Mayor Marvin Scholl is seeking re-election, as are incumbent aldermen Dennis Hecht and Boyd C. France, Wards 1 and 2, respectively.

The Buchheits are back on the ballot in Biehle. Rhonda Buchheit, Nick Buchheit and Rudy Buchheit are all seeking new terms on the Board of Trustees.
