JACKSON -- Two Cape Girardeau County candidates who missed deadlines for filing campaign finance disclosure reports due April 20 and June 23 have filed the reports with the county clerk's office.

John Ferguson, a Republican candidate for 2nd District associate county commissioner, filed an exemption form stating that he does not plan to raise or spend more than $1,000 for the Aug. 2 primary.

Max Stovall, a Democratic candidate for 2nd District associate county commissioner, filed the disclosure report.

All other candidates for county offices this year met last week's deadline for filing reports due 40 days before the primary.
