JACKSON -- Bob's Katidid, a pointer female, was a big winner during the Southeast Missouri Quail Unlimited & Bird Dog Association, Inc. trials, held at the Meier Hunting Club near here recently, winning the Bob Catlett Open Puppy Stake and the Jerry Kilgore Amateur Puppy Stake.
More than 50 dogs were entered in the two-day event.
Bob's Katidid is owned by Bob Jones of Marion, Ill.
Judges for the vent were Ed Dooley of Chaffee and Chris Harbison of Jackson. Ken Waldron served as trial chairman and was assisted Wayne Jones and Rueben Prince.

J.R. Wood Open Shooting Dog Stake: 1. Rebel Tom Boy, owned by Scott Miller, Miller, Mo.; Jim's Dandy Daisy, owned by Jim Carr, Bridgeport, Ill.; 3. McKinney's Hot Rod, owned by Ken Waldron.
Jerry Kilgore Amateur Puppy Stake: 1. Bob's Katydid, owned by Bob Jones; 2. Upton's Pink Lady, owned by Gene Upton, Memphis, Tenn.; 3. Mosley's Lights Out, owned by George Newton, Springfield, Mo.
Leonard V. Waldron Memorial Amateur Shooting Dog Stake: 1. Rowdy's Rambling Skip, owned by J.D. Wirth, Bridgeport, Ill.; 2. Bozeann's War Eagle, owned by Kenneth L. Waldron, Jackson; 3. Jim's Dandy Daisy, owned by Jim Carr, Bridgeport.
