FEMA opens disaster recovery center for storm victims
The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the State Emergency Management Agency have opened a Disaster Recovery Center at Meadow Heights School, 1 Highway 72 E. in Patton, Mo., for six days beginning Monday. Hours of operation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 18. The center will provide resources for people affected by the May 8 and May 16 severe storms, tornadoes and flooding. The service is available to all Missourians regardless of their county of residence. Before visiting the center, victims should register for disaster assistance online at www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362. TTY 800-462-7585.
