FELZIEN RECEIVES BUSINESS PERSON OF MONTH AWARD

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Craig Felzien, area manager of community relations for Southwestern Bell, is the recipient of this month's "Business Person of the Month" award.

The award was presented at the Cape Chamber of Commerce's First Friday Coffee on April 5.

Felzien was nominated by Dorothy Klein of the Area United Way. He is responsible for securing financial assistance to provide workshops, seminars, and volunteer recognition for not-for-profit organizations. He also sponsors luncheons to honor volunteers, who are the key to the survival for non-for-profit organizations, said Linda Minner of the Cape Chamber.

"Business Person of the Month" is co-sponsored by KTXI Radio, Schnucks, and the Cape Chamber. The award is designed to recognize business persons who make a contribution to the community through their business, community, civic and charitable involvement.

In addition to receiving a plaque, Felzien received a gift certificate from the sponsors.
