The following information was released by the office of federal prosecutor Catherine Hanaway for defendants appearing in federal court before U.S. District Judge Rodney W. Sippel.

Name: Terrance Lamont Fields
Age: 44
Residence: Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Charge: Previous convicted felon in possession of firearms.
Sentence: 188 months in prison.
Summary: On July 19, 2005, Fields allowed police to search his residence at which time they found a .25 caliber pistol, a 20-gauge shotgun and a .22 caliber rifle. The shotgun had a barrel length of less than 16 inches, making it illegal to possess. Due to his previous felony convictions, Fields is forbidden by law to possess firearms.
Name: Nicholas Davis
Age: 27
Residence: Sikeston, Mo.
Charge: Possession of five grams or more of cocaine base, possession of cocaine base with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Sentence: 224 months prison.
Summary: On Feb. 5 a law enforcement officer stopped Davis for a traffic violation in Butler County, Mo., where a baggie containing cocaine base fell from Davis' pocket and 443.4 grams of marijuana were found in his vehicle. On April 2 a Sikeston police offer stopped Davis for a traffic violation and found a loaded .40 caliber pistol under the driver's seat. On April 21 a state search warrant uncovered a Lorcin .25 caliber pistol and 52 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition and more than 5 grams of crack cocaine. Due to Davis' prior felony conviction he is prohibited from possessing firearms.
