Officers said Yontz was bathing his 2-year old son, Brad, Jr., when he momentarily left the bathroom. The boy's sister wandered into the bathroom and fell into the tub with her young brother. The boy was unable to get his sister out of the tub, so he got out and called for his father.

Police said the father began mouth-to-mouth recusitation as soon as he pulled his daughter out. When paramedics and police arrived, the youngster had been revived and was spitting up water.

Rachele was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital where doctors said there did not appear to be any permanent injuries. However, the child was held overnight for observation as a precaution.
