Fatal crash in Jackson

Members of the Jackson fire and police departments, along with Missouri State Highway Patrol, work the scene of a two-vehicle accident on East Jackson Boulevard between Old Orchard Road and Sappington Drive just after 8 a.m. Thursday. The accident involved a Dodge Journey with only the driver inside and a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a driver and passenger inside. Brandi Pratt, 30, of Marquand, Missouri, was confirmed dead Thursday by Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Clifton. Two other people were in serious condition after the crash, the cause of which was under investigation. Clifton said a family dog that ran from the scene has been reunited with its owners.
