A Christmas ornament, designed by local artist Mark Farmer, is being sold to benefit the Southeast Missouri Easter Seal Society.

The 1991 edition is planned to be the first in a series of collectible ornaments based on Farmer's drawings.

The "Christmas in Southeast Missouri" ornament is solid brass and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The limited edition includes 500 ornaments, which cost $12 each. About 200 of the ornaments are still available.

The ornaments are on display at all Boatmen's and Capital Bank locations in Cape Girardeau and Jackson, as well as Lutesville Motor Company, SEMO Council on the Arts, Burfordville Post Office and the Easter Seal Society office.
