Judges selected the top 4-H and FFA livestock at the SEMO District Fair Wednesday. The top livestock will auctioned today, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the 4-H Building.
Winners included:
4-H swine: Eric Hinkebein, grand champion; Tiffany Binford, reserve champion.
FFA swine: Scott Aufdenberg, grand champion; Geoff Shinn, reserve champion.
4-H steers: Brent Schreiner, grand champion; Rebecca Koenig, reserve champion.
FFA steers: Andrew Koenig, grand champion; John Koenig, reserve champion.
4-H sheep: Steven Bockhold, grand champion; Carrie Maloney, reserve champion.
FFA sheep: Margaret Rausch, grand champion; Banita Harris, reserve champion.
Winners of the baby contest were not available from fair officials.
SEMO District Fair officials also announced the winners of the demolition derby Tuesday.
Winners included:
First heat: Paul Piasecki, Nashville and Wesley Richardson, Jackson.
Second heat: Randy Schwsutzkpof, Nashville and Patrick Redtke, Radon.
Third heat: Victor Whelg Jr., Coulterville, Ill. and Paul Rue, Oakdale.
Fourth heat: John Gockel, Cape Girardeau and Rick Smith, Cape Girardau.
Consolation heat No. 1: Jeffrey Stearns, Ashley and Jerry Schweeper, Cape Girardeau.
Consolation heat No. 2: Jeff Sides, Cape Girardeau.
Feature winner: Jeffrey Stearns, Ashley.
