The Missouri Department of Social Services and the Cape Girardeau County Health Department will sponsor a free eye screening clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the health department at 1121 Linden St. in Cape Girardeau.
Screenings will be done for visual disorders such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration, as well as malformation or malfunctions of the eye.
Those attending the clinic who are diagnosed as having a visual problem that requires specific treatment and further examination will be referred to local eye care specialists.
