Art Experience `92, an exhibit sponsored by the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts, opens June 7 at Gallery 100.
The works of 86 artists were submitted, and the best were selected by Katie Anderson of Locus Gallery in St. Louis.
An opening reception will be held June 7 from 2-4 p.m. at the gallery, situated at 100 Broadway. The public is invited.
Artists from 18 states are represented in this year's show, said Beverly Strohmeyer, executive director of the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts. Six artists are from Missouri.
"The fact that Missouri artists compete with artists in New York, California, Washington and Florida shows what excellent work is produced here," she said.
The opening reception will also be an awards ceremony. The exhibit will be displayed through June 30.
