EXCHANGE CLUB NAMES YOUTH OF THE MONTH FOR MAY

Alina Stepak, a senior at Scott City High School, has been selected as the May Youth of the Month by the Exchange Club of Cape Girardeau. She is being honored at the April meeting of the Exchange Club.

Stepak is a member of the choir, Future Business Leaders of America and Pep Club. She received the outstanding student award in Algebra II last year and also received the outstanding student award in algebra and chemistry in the Upward Bound program held at Southeast Missouri State University last summer. In addition, she is on the A honor roll.

Prior to moving to the United States, Stepak was a class officer in Poland, president of the Polish Red Cross student organization, secretary of the Ecology Club and a member of the Tourist Club.

She is the daughter of Stanley and Maria Stepak of Scott City
