ST. LOUIS -- A St. Louis County woman who worked as a customer service representative at a Sam's Club has admitted defrauding the store of $22,000.
The U.S. attorney's office says 26-year-old Genis Helm pleaded guilty Wednesday to one felony count of wire fraud. She'll be sentenced in March.
Helm worked at a Sam's Club in Maplewood, Mo.
A September indictment accused Helm of issuing bogus gift cards and cash for nonexistent returns of merchandise for several months earlier this year. Prosecutors said Helm issued and redeemed more than 100 bogus refunds, then used them herself or gave them to family and friends.
