Heavy equipment buyers and users from Southeast Missouri, Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois converged on Cape Girardeau recently for the Cape Girardeau Division of Erb Equipment companies' 10th annual fish fry and open house.

More than 25 pieces of John Deer utility, forestry and heavy equipment were on display along with Trail King trailers and Bomag rollers.

Featured were newly re-designed John Deer `D' Series rubber-tired loader-backhoes and `E' Series log skidders.

Erb Co., at West End Boulevard and Highway 74, employs 23 people.

William Warren heads the local branch, which was established in 1972 with four employees and 6,400 square feet of service, parts and office area. The firm has since expanded to more than 14,400 square feet.
