Entries are being accepted for the seventh annual Miss Riverfest Queen competition to be held in Cape Girardeau June 11 as part of Riverfest activities.
Scheduled for June 10-11 in downtown Cape Girardeau, Riverfest features entertainment and activities for the entire family. Corporate sponsors are Capital Bank, KBSI Fox 23, St. Francis Medical Center and Southwestern Bell Telephone.
Miss Riverfest, sponsored by CyberTel, is open to all area students who attended high school during the 1993-94 school year. Miss Riverfest contestants must also have a C grade average or above, be single and have no children.
Contestants will participate in interviews the morning of June 11, and at 2 p.m. that day will be presented in formal wear on the Riverfest main stage.
Ages for the Little Miss Riverfest competition are 5 and 6. Contestants will compete in party dress only for a prize package that includes a crown, trophy, savings bond and gift certificates. Trophies will also be awarded for "Best Dressed" and "Best Personality" in the Little Miss Riverfest competition.
