U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson addressed members of the Cape County Republican Women's Club on Friday, encouraging fellow Republicans to band together to bring the party success in local, state and federal elections. She also spoke briefly on government regulations, response to attacks on American security forces in Libya and the economy.

Following the club meeting, Emerson talked about the scheduling conflicts she said have contributed to no debates being scheduled this election season between herself and challengers for the Eighth Congressional District seat, Democrat Jack Rushin and Libertarian Rick Vandeven.
