JACKSON -- Eight District U.S. Rep. Bill Emerson's Mobile Office will stop in Jackson Thursday. The office will be at the Jackson Courthouse from 2-3 p.m.
"I encourage all area residents to take advantage of the Mobile Office your direct link to Washington and let me know what's on your minds," Emerson said.
With the size of the district, keeping congressional services accessible to everyone is "all the more challenging," Emerson said. "The Mobile Office is a way of bringing the services of the Congressional Office closer to home."
The office is staffed with official representatives of Emerson's office "to help you with your problems related to the federal government or to listen to your opinion and concerns," and pass them on to the congressman, said a spokesman.
"I encourage all area residents to come out and take advantage of the Mobile Office," Emerson said.
Other stops on June 10 will be: Williamsville Nutrition Center, 9-10 a.m.; Greenville Courthouse, 10:30-11:30 a.m.; and Town & Country Foodliner in Marble Hill, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
