Emanuel United Church of Christ welcomes new pastor Joshua W. Rau: A vision for growth and community engagement

Emanuel United Church of Christ located at 304 E Adams St, Jackson has welcomed a new pastor Joshua W. Rau.

This addition marks a new chapter in the church’s history, one that will bring a fresh vision, leadership and spiritual guidance to the congregation and the wider community, according to a news release.

Pastor Rau has served for 19 years as a music director and worship leader and, over the past five years, has transitioned into pulpit ministry, further honing his skills in spiritual leadership. With this, he will bring a wealth of experience, a deep passion for ministry and a heartfelt commitment to serving others.

“I am honored and excited to join Emanuel and become a part of this incredible community,” Rau said in the news release. “My vision is to build on the strong foundation laid by previous leaders, fostering a church environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and inspired to grow in their faith. Together, we will embark on a journey of spiritual renewal, outreach, and love.”

Emanuel UCC invites everyone to join in welcoming Pastor Rau. The church gathers each Sunday morning at 10:10 a.m. for worship in the sanctuary and at 9:00 a.m. for Sunday School.
