ELSIE M. LANDO

Elsie M. Lando, 96, 1508 Pemiscot, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1993, at her home.

She was born Jan. 1, 1897, at Grandin, daughter of George and Mary Webb Nanna. She married Roye I. Moore Dec. 25, 1913, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death. She later married John Lando July 5, 1967, in Cairo, Ill. He died in August 1979.

Lando worked at International Shoe Co. here. She then graduated from Edith Brown School of Practical Nursing in St. Louis in 1952. She retired from Southeast Missouri Hospital in 1967. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, and Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3838.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Huckstep; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. James Caughlan will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
