ELKS MOBILE DENT UNIT WILL OPERATE AT VIP UNTIL FEB. 21

CAPE GIRARDEAU - The Elks Mobile Dental Unit will be housed at VIP Industries here until Feb. 21.

The Mobile Dental Unit is sponsored by Cape Elks Lodge 639 and Jackson Elks Lodge 2652.

VIP Industries is located on Highway 74.

The unit has been in operation since 1962. Its mission is to provide dental care for handicapped and crippled children as well as mentally retarded and developmentally disabled adults and children, ages 3-21.

Individuals in extreme financial distress who have found it impossible to get dental care anywhere else can call the local chairman, Tom Hinkebein, at 335-6034 after 5 p.m.

The unit housed in Cape Girardeau serves the populations of Cape Girardeau, Scott and Bollinger counties. The unit's phone number is 335-6144. Persons can also call the Cape County Association for Retarded Citizens at 334-1166.
