Janice Eftink and Andrew Fiehler have been named March Students of the Month by the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
Eftink, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Eftink of Chaffee. She is a senior at Notre Dame High School, where she is active in SADD, Pep Club, choir and school musical productions.
She has maintained an A average for four years and received a 30 on the ACT.
Eftink plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia and major in accounting.
Fiehler, 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Fiehler of Cape Girardeau. He is a senior at Cape Central High School, where he is active in football, Letterman's Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is listed in Who's Who Among High School Students.
Fiehler plans to attend University of Missouri-Rolla and study engineering.
Students of the Month are selected by a panel of youth in the each participating high school. Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship and leadership are the basis for selection.
