Elizabeth Martin, Shawna Burger and Jamie Welker have been named Students of the Month by the Cape Girardeau Elk's Lodge.
Martin, 17, is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Martin of Cape Girardeau. She attends Cape Girardeau Central High School. She has been involved in JV Lady Tiger basketball, JV Tiger softball, FCA, chamber choir, and the Cape Bible Chapel Youth Group. She has also been listed on the A honor roll. After high school, she plans to study at a Christian college to become an elementary school teacher.
Burger, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Burger of Scott City. She is a senior at Scott City High School, where she is involved in Future Business Leaders of America, Science Club, Pep Club and is part of the yearbook staff. She plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University and then law school.
Welker, 18, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Welker of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Notre Dame High School. She has been active in cross country, student council, National Honor Society and Projects Club and has been on the A honor roll. She plans to attend Southwest Missouri State University and become a radiographer.
