DEXTER - Elizabeth G. Bell, 87, of Dexter, died Friday, Feb. 4, at the Vintage Villa Nursing Center in Dexter. She was born Jan. 15, 1907, at Hartville, to Argyle R. and Mary J. Bolian Wyman. On Feb. 1, 1925, she married Johnie W. Payne. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1973. On Sept. 11, 1976, she married Johnie Bell. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1988...

DEXTER - Elizabeth G. Bell, 87, of Dexter, died Friday, Feb. 4, at the Vintage Villa Nursing Center in Dexter.

She was born Jan. 15, 1907, at Hartville, to Argyle R. and Mary J. Bolian Wyman.

On Feb. 1, 1925, she married Johnie W. Payne. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1973. On Sept. 11, 1976, she married Johnie Bell. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Billy R. Payne of Zuni, Vir., and Donald R. Payne of Sullivan; three daughters, Mabel Neal of Dudley, Joyce "Polly" Tomaszewski of Florissant, and Mary Morris of St. Louis. One step-daughter, Margaret Tanner of Cincinnati, Ohio also survives, along with 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Bell was a member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church, near Dexter.

Friends may call after 5 p.m., Sunday, at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 2 p.m., at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with the Rev. Henry Jordan and the Rev. H. Worth of Essex officiating.

Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery, near Essex.
