Some reminders about how to make Election Day easier:
n Poll hours
6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
n Checking registration
n Promoting candidates
No clothing, hats, pins or other items promoting a candidate or a party in the polls. Voters will be asked to remove pins and hats; shirts can be turned inside out.
An identification card issued by the election authority, other government agency or school is acceptable. Also, a utility bill with the voter's name and address is also acceptable.
n Leave to vote
Missouri law requires employers to give workers up to three hours off to vote if their scheduled shift does not give the employee three continuous hours off duty while the polls are open. The request must be made before Election Day. No deduction from pay is allowed for the absence.
Voters who were previously registered and have moved within their county may file a change of address Monday or Tuesday and be eligible to vote the full ballot.
n Absentee voting
In-person absentee voting continues Monday.
n Contacting county clerks
