Mrs. B lives alone in an old home desperately in need of repairs. But Mrs. B has no one to help her and no money to hire someone to do the work.
Her only relative, a son, lives out of state. He will likely send her a Christmas card and might call her to wish her a Merry Christmas. But Mrs. B will celebrate the holiday with her chubby little dog.
Mrs. B. is an insulin-dependent diabetic. Her medical bills are high, her income low.
It's important for Mrs. B to pay her bills and she struggles each month to make ends meet on her small Social Security check. But she often falls behind.
A donation toward paying her medical bills, especially her prescription drug bill, would ease Mrs. B's worries a bit.
She would also enjoy a fresh fruit basket. Fruit not only provides a holiday treat, it is a vital part of a diabetic's diet. A gift certificate for groceries would also be helpful.
Ever practical, Mrs. B doesn't spend money on herself when bills are left to pay. Her needs are simple: pantyhose, size medium, white, nylon panties with elastic waist, size 7, and new double-knit slacks, size 14, in navy, green and red.
Her dog eats Mighty Dog food, the beef and liver flavors. She would also like a gift for the dog, a squeaky ball perhaps.
For Mrs. B, a gift and the knowledge that she really isn't alone will make Christmas a much merrier holiday.
