Leora E. Price, 87, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 6:30 p.m. The driver, Robert E. Price, lost control of the vehicle after the left front tire blew out, according to the highway patrol. He traveled off the road and struck a tree.

He sustained serious injuries in the crash and was air lifted to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
