RICHMOND, Ky. -- Eastern Kentucky University has made it more affordable for Southeast Missouri students to attend the school.
The EKU Board of Regents approved a plan that cuts out-of-state tuition by 45 percent for students in Mississippi, Scott, Bollinger, Stoddard, New Madrid, Butler and Wayne counties in Southeast Missouri.
Students must meet requirements for full admission to EKU, school officials said.
Based on a 7.5 percent increase in tuition for 2001-2002, the targeted out-of-state students would pay $1,928 a semester, compared to $3,500 for other out-of-state students.
