Orientation for eighth-grade students entering Cape Girardeau Central Junior High School will be Aug. 18.
Students whose lasts names begin with the letters A-L should report to the school cafeteria at 9 a.m. and M-Z at 10:30 a.m.
Although the orientation session is optional, incoming students are encouraged to attend.
During the short program, students will be informed about school rules and regulations, be given a short tour of the building and handed a list of supplies they will need prior to the start of the school year.
Junior high students are required to have the following supplies: one two-inch notebook or binder; one package of wide-ruled loose-leaf notebook paper; six tab dividers; one 12-inch ruler with Arabic and metric guides; an eraser; two No. 2 wooden, lead pencils; two ballpoint pens, blue or black; a three-ringed plastic pencil holder; and a package of hole-reinforcers.
Additional supplies may be needed as per individual teacher request.
