EDUCATOR OF YEAR NOMINATIONS DUE

Today is the last day to submit nominations for the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year award.

Any person, group, colleague, student or parent in the community may nominate educators employed full-time in any public, private, parochial or business school in Cape Girardeau.

Nomination forms are available at the chamber office, 1267 N. Mount Auburn Road, and at area schools. Forms also can be obtained online at www.capechamber.com. Click on the Educator of the Year Award button and then print out the page.

The chamber of commerce Education Committee will distribute applications to the nominees as nominations are received. Completed applications will be due at the Chamber office by Feb. 14.

The award nominees will be announced in April, and the eighth annual Educator of the Year awards dinner and program will be held on May 3.

Recipients will receive the prestigious crystal apple, $500 cash and a commemorative video acknowledging the honor.
