EBO MD has acquired Cape Urgent Care and Family Medicine in Cape Girardeau, effective April 5, according to a recent news release.
Dr. Byron Glenn, previous owner of Cape Urgent Care, announced his retirement from practice Monday, according to the release.
Glenn served as a physician in the Cape Girardeau community for more than 20 years, and will not continue with the practice, the release stated.
I have full confidence in the quality of care that my patients can expect to receive, as well as EBO MDs ability to offer lower cost access to healthcare, Glenn stated in the release.
EBO MDs co-founder Tony Thompson said in the release the health-care options in Southeast Missouri sometimes have a lack of more affordable options.
New services will be added to the EBO MD clinics and will be announced in the coming months, according to the release.
Current and former Cape Urgent Care patient records will be available at the EBO MD offices at 1417 N. Mount Auburn Road, upper level, in Cape Girardeau, the release stated.
Thompson said by phone Tuesday patients also can be seen at 1417 N. Mount Auburn, which is five buildings north of Glenns old location.
We just want Dr. Glenns patients to know well welcome them to the family and do our best to take care of them, Thompson said.
