EASTERN STAR PLANS OFFICIAL INSPECTION TONIGHT

Marilyn L. Woods of High Ridge, worthy grand matron of the Missouri Eastern Star Grand Chapter, will make an official inspection of chapters in the 49th district tonight.

The meeting will be held in the Masonic Temple in Cape Girardeau beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Woods, the chief executive of the 48,000-member Grand Chapter of Missouri, will direct the business sessions of the inspection.

The program of the official inspection includes instruction in the ritual and ceremonies of the order, the interpretation of the Grand Chapter laws and practices, and explanation of the charities, projects and activities sponsored by the Missouri Grand Chapter in 1992.

The Eastern Star Members of Missouri give money to a variety of charities and organizations in the state.

Grand Chapter officials who will attend the official inspection are Orville L. Liningston, worthy grand patron from Platte City; Myrl M. Clemens, associate grand matron from Keytesville; Jim W. Hensley, associate grand patron from Bolivar; Louise Meffert, grand secretary from St. Louis; Opal C. Shultz, grand treasurer from Waynesville; Patricia Stubblefield, grand conductress from Cuba; Jean Hendrix, associate grand conductress from Florissant; Addie Ann Rittenhour, grand chaplain from Raytown; Helen Joyce Sapp, grand marshal from Columbia; Dorothy M. Yount, grand organist from High Ridge; Joyce Stalder, grand Adah from Plattsburg; Marjorie Cook, grand Ruth from Gordonville; Violet Wanner, grand Esther from Fenton; Gereldine Carroll, grand Martha from Warsaw; Carolee Goddard, grand Electra from Galena; Ethel Shikles, grand warder from Russelville; Homer R. Schremp, grand sentinel from Mexico.

Mary Mouser of Cape Girardeau, district deputy grand matron of the 49th District, is in charge of the arrangements for the official inspection.

The Eastern Star chapters located in the 49th District are Cape Rock 60, Cape Girardeau; St. Mark's 167, Cape Girardeau; Jackson 91, Jackson; Oak Ridge 310, Millersville; Victory 431, Marble Hill; Whitewater 174, Whitewater; and Zalma 509, Zalma.
