The Southeast Missouri Region of the Easter Seal Society and KGMO radio station will team up to raise one million pennies or $10,000 for people with disabilities, the society announced.

During the week of Sept. 23-27, a "Million Penny Billboard' at the corner of Route K and Silver Springs Road will be the temporary home of KGMO disc jockey Mike Ford.

Everyone is invited to stop by the billboard, which is in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, and to drop off nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars. They also may visit with Ford, who will be there around the clock.

Refreshments will be available, entertainment will be offered and people may register for prizes.
