EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — The death of an East Prairie woman has been ruled accidental by Mississippi County Coroner Terry A. Parker. On Saturday, Sandra Guinn and her husband, Charles Guinn of East Prairie apparently walked from behind parked cars along Pine Street in East Prairie into the path of a vehicle driven by Timothy Jones, also of East Prairie. Witnesses said the Guinns walked into the path of the vehicle without looking and that Jones did not have time to stop before striking them...

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — The death of an East Prairie woman has been ruled accidental by Mississippi County Coroner Terry A. Parker.

On Saturday, Sandra Guinn and her husband, Charles Guinn of East Prairie apparently walked from behind parked cars along Pine Street in East Prairie into the path of a vehicle driven by Timothy Jones, also of East Prairie. Witnesses said the Guinns walked into the path of the vehicle without looking and that Jones did not have time to stop before striking them.

The Guinns were transported to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau where Sandra Guinn, age 62, died Sunday. Charles Guinn was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.

No charges against Jones will be filed.
