The Southeast Missouri Easter Seal Society's Early Learning Center received accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
The Early Learning Center is one of 4,500 programs nationwide to be recognized.
The accreditation process is a voluntary one in which the program must meet national standards of excellence.
"Our staff invested well over a year's worth of time and effort in seeking the NAEYC accreditation," said Chuck Martin, regional executive director of the Southeast Missouri Easter Seal Society.
The Early Learning Center, 316 S. Plaza Way, serves nearly 60 children with disabilities.
