Jackson will host an e-cycle event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 23 at the recycling center. The event provides Cape Girardeau County residents and businesses with an opportunity to dispose of obsolete and unusable electronic items, small and large appliances and other metal objects.
A fee of $15 will be charged for each television. However, Jackson residents can dispose of up to two televisions at no charge. All other accepted items will be collected at no charge. Residents are asked to dispose of their recyclable electronic items at this event, as they will no longer be picked up curbside during the Clean Up-Fix Up Week.
Free shredding services will be provided by M&J Shredding from 9 a.m. to noon.
