Dutchtown voters approved 22-10 Tuesday a county personal property and real estate tax that they've already been paying for a year.
The tax appeared on a public ballot for the first time Tuesday but has been collected for the last year.
The tax is 32 cents for every $100 of assessed valuation.
Money from the tax -- which has already generated $1,300, according to county tax collector Diane Diebold -- is intended to fund the village's share of construction costs for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers levee for the diversion channel south of town.
