Sweetbriar Estates, designed by Creative Concept of Dallas, Texas, will offer a variety of floor plans in a four-building complex at Brookshire and Amblewood in Cape Girardeau.
"We offer two-bedroom and three-bedroom units," said Doris Jean Arnold of Gary M. Arnold Customs Homes and Century 21 Ashland Realty. "This location was selected to offer easy access to businesses, shopping, medical centers and entertainment."
The units will be of three designs the Brookshire with its two-story design; the Amblewood, a one-level ranch; and a Triplex.
"One of the units has already been sold," said Arnold. "Two models are now on display, and the triplex is on the planning board and will be constructed later," she said.
A weeklong open house will be held at two models through April 24.
"We'll be open from noon to 5 p.m. today, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening next week, and from noon to 5 p.m. April 23 and 24."
The units have been furnished by Heilig-Myers Furniture, with the interior design by DeeDee Buerkle.
The Brookshire features a two-level design with a 17-foot ceiling in the entry hall, which includes ceramic flooring. Through the entry foyer is the "great room," with an overlooking balcony soaring from the 17-foot ceiling. Included in the plans are a powder room, kitchen and breakfast area, utility room, two master bedrooms upstairs and downstairs, a third bedroom and other features.
The Amblewood, all on one floor, features two bedrooms, including a master suite in each unit. Each unit features soaring ceilings, an oversize "great room" and kitchen.
