The Southern Illinois folk duo Carter & Connelley will perform tonight at Southeast Missouri State University in a benefit for KRCU FM.
The KRCU Coffee House will begin at 7 p.m. on the fourth floor of the University Center. The $10 tickets include coffee and cookies. Children under 12 will be admitted free with a paid adult.
Curt Carter and Tom Connelley have been performing together since 1989. Their music portrays their social and environmental concerns. They are known for their tight harmonies and energetic stage performances.
Carter & Connelley opened for folk singer Darryl Purpose during a KRCU Coffee House in January 1999. "Songs From the Seventh Direction," their first CD with 18 original tracks, has just been released on Reception Records.
